Welcome to Melbourne Rugby Club’s website, and particularly the U9s section.

The U9 team is the first progression in to contact rugby for young players and is aimed at the junior school age group, year 4. We are open to both male and female players.

We have 5 coaches who volunteer their time to introduce children into the fabulous world of rugby. Our aim is to make sessions as fun as possible whilst teaching the children the skills necessary to develop in the game. Through the season we alternate between training and playing games on a Sunday morning either at home in Melbourne or away at other clubs.

We embed the TREDS core values into every session, Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

Most of all we are all passionate about rugby.
