Everyone in the club has had their first game. Usually, this is an individual experience surrounded by more experienced players to guide and help. Today, our women took to the mud and experienced their first-ever game, with just three players having played on a pitch before.
Our ladies acquitted themselves well and in style.
It was a nervous start in the loose, but the Melbourne ship was steadied by their set piece, which worked well and will be a solid platform for the future.
Up against a vastly more experienced opposition, we not only survived but dominated in places.

In the final 3rd, the coaches chose to mix up the players to allow a more even game.
The day was a huge milestone for the club, the fabulous ladies and the desire to establish a Women's section.
The future's bright and we wear lip gloss!
