For some time now, MRFC has been financially supporting the running of Touch Rugby on the fields at Repton, on Mondays 7-8.
We've recently loaded the Touch team onto Pitchero, because we are going to make a little bit of a noise about Touch as Spring and Summer approach.
Your senior and junior committees are currently discussing how we can utilise Touch as a summer fitness option for our rugby players and their parents. More later .....
Touch is currently played by juniors (U14s and up), our own MRFC coaches, parents of players, men and women (girls aged 13 and older).
Our brand of Touch is closer to the rugby that we all play than pure Touch - we are a Rugby Club after all. The intention is to support our winter season rugby by developing fitness, ball skills and defensive lines - as well as to have fun.
Touch is proving to be an introduction to rugby for some, and an introduction to the rugby club for others.
Come for the fitness. Come to develop ball skills, and your defensive lines.

We've started again after Christmas down on the artificial at Repton, 7-8.
Adults pay £2, youth pay £1 to help defray the pitch rental costs a bit.
